if we use some additional medium like water etc in d/p tx pot, then it called as wet leg, otherwise dry leg.

Dry leg means which transmitter mounted from tank tapping point to upper side (usually vapor, gas ) & its line empty its dry leg. & wet leg transmitter is which one is mounted below tapping point & fill with liquid. its called wet leg.
