☛ Mainly used to hold circular, oval jobs.
☛ Depth of cut given is comparatively less.
☛ Less gripping power
☛ 3 jaws cannot be adjusted individually
☛ Setting up of work is easy
3 jaw chuck:
☛ Work pieces can be set for eccentric turning.
☛ Used to hold circular, oval jobs, rectangle and square jobs
☛ More depth of cut can be given.
☛ More gripping power
☛ 4 jaws can be adjust individually.
☛ Difficult.
