Over 100 years old would be the strict definition. However, now often taken to mean anything from 1920 or earlier when refer to clothing. As they become rarer, these garments and accessories are frequently the type of items museums like to get their hands on. Museums like to fill gaps in their collections. They also like to create themes or collections based around an art movement like Art Deco or Baroque.
