Are You Willing To Relocate?

Are You Willing To Travel?

Keep In Mind:

While giving the interview, one should keep in mind that the interviewer tries to ask questions that might have long term as well as short term repercussions.
If you fit well in the company, and if the company has a global presence, it might even be rudimentary for you to travel a lot or to relocate for a couple of years.
Of course, not everyone is open to relocation or travel, and therefore depend on the job requirements the company tries to find out if you are willing to relocate or whether you are willing to travel and how often.

This is a pretty simple question, and it entirely depends on your personal decisions (and the salary package).

Can’t Relocate:

If you absolutely can’t relocate, you have to be honest about that, but try not to just say “No.” You don’t know what the future holds, and your life might look very different in a year for a thousand reasons. First find out where you may have to relocate and how much travel may be involved. Then respond to the question.

How To Handle?

To handle this question is to keep your options open and your reservations to yourself in the early going, by saying, “no problem”. You strategy here is to get the best offer you can, then make a judgment whether it’s worth it to you to relocate or travel.
Voice a reservation, but assert that you’d be open to relocating (or traveling) for the right opportunity. The answering strategy you choose depends on how eager you are for the job. If you want to take no chances, choose the first approach.

If you want to play a little harder-to-get in hopes of generating a more enticing offer, choose the second.

Not Comfortable:

However, if you are not comfortable answering this question, it is more than okay to inform the interviewer that you would like to take some time to answer the question or would be able to answer the question on a later date.
Actually speaking, the question whether you would be relocating or not is quite a rhetoric question, except if there is some special case.
If a person is married with kids, and the kids are of school age, the company itself will understand that the person would not prefer to relocate, as it would be quite a hassle for his family.

Traveling And Relocation:

You should also understand the difference between traveling and relocation:
Traveling is basically going to a particular place and then returning within a day, week or even a month.
However, relocation simply means that you have to pack your bags and live wherever the company places you, with you being responsible for your family.
Therefore, it is always suggested that you do not answer the question before considering your family status and other financial issues.

Answer:

Relocation is not a issue for me. Am ready to relocate any place throughout the city. As a employee our focus should be on work always irrespective of location. And as a fresher relocation is very helpful because when we travel from one to other places we need to work with different kinds of people in different environment also we learn many things from the situation we have faced.

Failure is the first step towards seccess.
