It is possible that the criticism you received during your review was a result of you simply not having the skills necessary to perform well in your job. If your supervisor did not lay out a path for you to get this training, contact the Human Resources Department and ask them for guidance.
☛ If your company is interested in grooming you for more responsibility, take your initial criticism as a hidden compliment, training is expensive and a sign that your company is invested in your growth with them.
