Any protocol used by an internetwork to exchange routing data within an autonomous system. E.g. RIP, IGRP and OSPF.

IMO, IGPs are the protocols that are used to implement IP routing in internal/private/enterprise networks i.e non- 'outside' networks.

And I do not think we can associate the term 'autonomous system' with RIP.
