Why do we use 4-20ma signal instead of 0-10 ma?

To elevate zero so that we can come to know whether it is dead zero or from signal.

Because transister is behaving nonlinear in range of 0 to 4 MA and after that it is linear.thats why we are preferring 4 to 20 MA.
