Do you know how often do IEPs get updated? Do they transfer from one school to another?
Submitted by: MuhammadSchool districts are required to review and update IEPs annually. They are required to evaluate a student's special education needs at least every three years. The IEP program and placement is portable within the state. If a student moves from one town to another, their IEP moves with them “as is.” It remains fully in effect until a subsequent IEP is proposed and accepted by the parents.
