Please tell me what is your modus operandi when receiving a distress call?
Submitted by: MuhammadWhen I receive a call, my first instinct is to listen intently without interrupting. When the caller has finished providing initial information (or when I deem it necessary), I inquire about the location of the emergency, while simultaneously updating information for the dispatch team. Once I know that the ambulance is on its way, I let the caller know and attempt to provide counseling to keep him or her calm until help arrives.
