Art restorers are responsible for returning historic art to its original, peak condition. It can be painstaking work and it involves employing a variety of techniques to counter the effects of damage and neglect of a number of materials. Art restorers, who must have a great deal of artistic skill and passion themselves, typically start out by gaining a degree in fine art.
